SESSION 3: Lessons to be Learned from 16 Years as a Digital Nomad
SESSION DESCRIPTION:
Wednesday 11th am - noon
Being a digital nomad isn't something that comes naturally to anybody. There is a learning curve, and even if you read All The Things and plan for contingencies, you're likely to be taken by surprise by both logistics and nuances of the lifestyle.
Nora Dunn (aka The Professional Hobo) is one of the OG digital nomads, her location independent career and full-time travel lifestyle predating words like "remote work" and "digital nomad". So naturally, she learned everything the hard way.
But, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and in this session Nora will share practical insights and amusing anecdotes to help you hit the road like a pro and skip up that bumpy learning curve. She'll even share her worst mistake - one that cost her the entire lifestyle for a spell - so that you don't have to suffer the same consequences.

Caitlin MacGregor, CEO and co-founder of Plum, is passionate about identifying people's potential. Committed to creating a more inclusive world that removes barriers and challenges biases, Caitlin believes there is a great opportunity for companies to use technology to reduce bias when making talent decisions to reveal candidates and employee’s human potential to set them up for success. Moreover, Caitlin and Plum facilitate partnerships outside the organization to drive inclusivity for all in the workforce and bridge pervasive gaps. Caitlin is also passionate about purpose-driven leadership and recognizes the importance of making talent decisions using objective data and accelerating DE&I.
